Exciting News! On March 25th, award-winning author Neal Shusterman will be visiting RMS to speak with all grade levels! This is a fantastic opportunity for students to meet the author of beloved books like Unwind, Scythe, and many more.
To make the most of Mr. Shusterman's visit, we encourage your students to explore his works. You can also preorder his newest release, All Better Now, directly from RMS PTO's website, here!
In addition, our 8th grade students will have author Patricia McCormick visit on April 21st. Ms. McCormick's visit helps to expand on a class reading of one of her books, Never Fall Down, based on the true story of Arn Chorn-Pond, an eleven-year-old Cambodian boy who is taken from his town and becomes a child soldier for the Khmer Rouge, a radical Communist regime that ruled Cambodia from 1975-1979.
Both of these are amazing opportunities for our students to have and would not be possible for RMS PTO to sponsor without the help and support of our PTO families, staff and fundraising participation.

RMSPTO’s Penny War fundraiser, made a come back this spring and certainly turned out to be a FUN-draiser to close out this school year! All RMS students and staff were encouraged to bring in loose change into their grade wise labeled water cooler jugs. Pennies and bills provided positive points while nickels, dimes and quarters provided negative points which each grade used to sabotage the other two grades. Our school’s Principal enthusiastically agreed to be part of the prize for the winning grade.
Although highly sabotaged, Grade 7 managed to win this FUN-draiser. And as a prize today, ten 7th grade students were selected at random, got a chance to pie our school Principal. We thank him for being such a great sport!!

It's that time again when we welcome our amazing RMS Staff back to school!
RMSPTO's Welcome Back to School Staff Luncheon is scheduled for Monday August 28th, 2023. We will be catering an Italian hot lunch this year, but we need your help with the "extras". Please consider signing up for something today. The RMS office is very kindly letting us drop off non-perishable donations from Tuesday (8/22) to Friday (8/25). Please ensure you drop off items before 2:00pm. Please deliver all perishables that you sign up for to RMS office on Monday (08/28) by 9:30am. RMS PTO regrets to inform you that our fundraiser event “Lip Sync Battle” at Randolph Middle School scheduled to be held on May 18th, 2023 has now been cancelled. The hard decision was made to cancel the event because of lack of interest by RMS families (audience) for the event. We apologize for any inconveniences.

RMS PTO is thrilled to announce our RMS PTO presents 8th Grade Dance!! This year's theme as you can see is "Vintage Hollywood Ball". There will be a DJ and of course lots of dancing! The children are going to have a great time!
While purchasing tickets, add one ticket per child to the cart, so we can collate information for every child attending the dance. As every year, 8th grade parents cannot chaperone the event. 7th grade parents with no children in 8th grade are requested to volunteer to be the chaperones. We could not have done it without all of you! Thank you to all those who signed up and donated supplemental items for the Veteran's Day breakfast event at RMS. We appreciate your generosity! Thank you to the RMS PTO members who signed up for the annual membership and everyone who made upfront donations. We could not have sponsored this event without you! And lastly but nowhere the least, a huge shoutout to Allison M. for spearheading this event in conjunction with RMS PTO's Veterans Day committee members and co-ordinating with the RMS staff to make this event happen. The visiting veterans had a great time sharing their experiences and life with the students; and the students benefitted a lot with their one-on-one interactions with the veterans. |
